Born in Lincolnshire, Michael Smart served in the R.A.F. before turning his hand to art. By 1958 he had started to exhibit locally with a number of galleries, oils being his preferred medium.
As Michael developed his craft he went on to exhibit at the Austen Hayes Gallery in York, and with Knightsbridge’s most famous department store Harrods for many years.
He went on to exhibit with The Royal Academy and can be found hung in leading international galleries and collections.
